As the world’s biggest manufacturer of din rail mounted terminals, Phoenix Contact can now announce the introduction of its Stainless Steel and GRP polyester junction boxes – Clipsafe – these new enclosures are all built in accordance with ATEX and IECEx approvals.
The robust housings are made of 2mm, strong, high quality 1.4404 (V4A), AISI 316L stainless steel ideal for use in harsh, potentially explosive industrial areas – these enclosures can be supplied with backplates, Ex metric glands, and with a earth stud as standard, hinged doors or lid, as an option, with a large range of sizes up to a maximum of 1000 x 1000 x 300 mm.
With the introduction of the Clipsafe range of enclosures, Phoenix Contact are in a position to not only supply Ex junction boxes but also provide custom designed control boxes using products from our range of process products eg. wireless systems, IS barriers, Foundation Fieldbus junction boxes -and with the help of design team of in Germany are able to help the customer design a project, build and test it. The junction box will then be submitted by Phoenix Contact for required approvals.
To make the design of a terminal box simpler the customer can download Phoenix Contact’s free software, Clip Project. This tool enables the customer to design their own terminal rail including all necessary markings- the software has the additional feature of being able to interface with all major CAD Packages.
