After a tough first year of residence under Covid restrictions, industrial business is bouncing back especially for their legendary Rotary Selector Valve (RSV).
The RSV is a multi-talented offering with hundreds of variations available to produce complex or simply “clever” solutions to pneumatic control. At its simplest building block, it is a stackable multi-port rotary poppet valve.
A typical application might be for low temperature use, as in this sophisticated gas control cabinet shown below. This was built for a network operator who selected the RSV for its excellent cross port leakage performance. In this application it had to meet exacting leakage tests especially at external winter temperatures where ball valves had previously failed. In fact, Drallim manufactured the entire system under its contract manufacturing service available for all manner of control systems large or small.
Indeed, the RSV has been used on some very complex control consoles such as this one employed in a nuclear power, water treatment plant. In this case Drallim supplied a complete obsolescence re-design, manufacture, and installation service.
