The most talked about technology of the year – artificial intelligence – will be the focus of a brand new one-day conference coming to London on March 1.

Applied AI will feature world-leading authorities on AI and machine learning from digital giants Google and Microsoft, while the keynote address will be delivered by Chris Benson Chief AI Strategist at Lockheed Martin RMS APA Innovations.

The conference, which is being held at The Brewery in the heart of the city, will tap into some of the smartest minds in the industry as AI and machine learning deliver greater influence on the way the world operates.

Organised by tech-conference experts Vitis Events, Applied AI has been structured as a forum for learning and networking with the most up-to-date topics in AI and machine learning.

The content is tailored specifically to the needs of developers, data scientists and analysts that are creating software, applications, tools  platforms that are based on or incorporate AI or machine learning technologies.

The conference schedule offers delegates the choice of two tracks – one featuring a succession of 30-minute breakout sessions delivered by a range of speakers, or an alternative option of two two-hour tutorials, before an end-of-conference closing keynote speech.

Delegates also have two significant opportunities to network. The first is an eve-of-conference Pubcon in Finsbury Square, the second is at The Brewery immediately after the conference.

Organiser Sam Bell said: “AI and machine learning is impacting every industry on the planet and will drive digital transformation for years to come.

“It is a sector that cannot be ignored and what we are aiming to do with this is bring together key thinkers and operators in the sector to give insight and inspiration.

“This isn’t a conference about theory. This is to learn about technologies so you can go away and start using them straight away.”

He added: “We secured some incredible speakers to give us their expertise. Chris Benson is very in-demand as he has so much knowledge and experience. Aside from the role he now has with Lockheed Martin, he built and operationalized Honeywell’s first dedicated AI team from the ground up and  before that he was on the AI Team at Accenture.”

Tickets for the conference, which includes both conference social events, and two meals, are available via the conference website www.appliedai.co.uk.
