Pioneer Pump, in Hadleigh, Suffolk, part of the Franklin Electric Group, has welcomed the acquisition of Geoquip Water Solutions and Hydrodif Products, completed on 17 December 2025, marking an important step in the Group’s continued growth strategy in the UK water and groundwater markets.
The acquisition brings together Franklin Electric’s global scale, engineering capability and long-term investment approach with Geoquip’s established UK-based manufacturing, distribution and market expertise. For Pioneer Pump and its customers, this strengthens the Group’s ability to serve a broader range of applications with increased local capability and support.
Geoquip Water Solutions is a well-regarded name across the UK water industry, supplying products and systems into residential, commercial and groundwater applications. Hydrodif Products adds further depth with specialist solutions for water supply systems. Together, they bring strong customer relationships, deep market knowledge and a shared commitment to quality and reliability.
From a Pioneer Pump perspective, the acquisition supports the wider Franklin Electric ambition to materially grow its presence in the UK. By aligning product portfolios, operational resources and technical expertise across the Group, customers can expect improved availability, expanded application coverage and continued investment in innovation.
The combined businesses are well positioned to unlock operational synergies and deliver long-term value, reinforcing Franklin Electric’s position as a trusted partner in the UK water sector while creating new opportunities for growth across pumping and water systems.
Commenting on the acquisition, Hugh Langley, MD at Pioneer Pump EMENA, said:
“This acquisition represents a significant opportunity for Pioneer Pump and the wider Franklin Electric Group. Geoquip brings strong UK market knowledge and a well-established manufacturing and distribution operation, which aligns closely with how we support our customers. Together, we are well placed to expand our capabilities, improve availability and continue investing in the long-term growth of the UK market.”
Pioneer Pump looks forward to working closely with its new Geoquip colleagues as part of the Franklin Electric Group, supporting customers across the UK with a stronger, more connected and more capable organisation.
This acquisition comes after a move in 2023 to much larger premises to support the company’s future growth ambitions. They moved from a 10,000sq ft yard in Stowmarket to a site in Hadleigh, offering 66,000 sq ft of space. This significant expansion, added 56,000 sq ft of additional capacity, marking the first stage in the company’s growth plans.
