SIPOS Aktorik, part of the AUMA Group, has a strong history rooted in the supply of electric actuators to the power industry. A recent landmark for the company is the fifth anniversary of an order for 2,000 actuators awarded by RWE for its coal fired Eemshaven plant in the Netherlands which began operation in January 2015.
The contract represented SIPOS’ fourth major order from RWE, the German based power company that supplies over sixteen million electricity customers. Other significant RWE orders achieved by SIPOS include commissions at Niederaussem, Neurath and Hamm Westfalen.
As one of Europe’s top five electricity and gas companies, RWE is a prestigious customer for SIPOS Aktorik. Key reasons cited by the actuator manufacturer for its adoption by the utility include innovative actuation technology, wide ranging services and comprehensive support provided to the power sector. More specifically, the ability to provide enhanced fieldbus capability and separate mountings offering protection and easy access to actuators were decisive in the adoption of SIPOS’ actuation at the Eemshaven installation.

Comprehensive capabilities include installation, commissioning, inspection/overhaul, revisions, retrofits and maintenance.
