kettering hospital image Spirax Sarco showcases energy expertise at 2015 HefmA National ConferenceSpirax Sarco is exhibiting at this year’s HefmA (Health Estates & Facilities Management Association) National Conference on stand 120, with a team of steam specialists available to offer advice on energy-related needs.

Visitors can enjoy freshly made coffee by the on-stand barista and a chat with Spirax Sarco’s energy experts about lowering energy consumption, meeting sustainability goals and reducing risk.

Recent innovations in steam plant control and monitoring technology provide many new ways for hospitals to substantially improve the efficiency of existing systems to help reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions.

Spirax Sarco recently helped Blackpool Victoria Hospital refurbish ten plants rooms, reducing energy and maintenance costs at the large acute hospital by an estimated £274,000 a year and cutting carbon emissions by more than 1,400 tonnes.

Spirax Sarco’s experts can also help identify funding for energy saving projects as well as design, project manage and implement them.

For example, Spirax Sarco worked with Kettering Hospital to secure government funding for an energy reduction project by proving that switching from calorifiers to Spirax EasiHeat™ would reduce energy consumption by between 6-10%.

The HefmA 2015 National Conference takes place at the Blackpool Hilton Hotel on May 14-15.
