wanner 1 Hydra-Cell - Reducing the cost of precision pumpingHydra-Cell seal-less pumps are unique. They are used worldwide for a huge range of applications for liquid transfer, spraying, filling, blending, cleaning, sampling, injecting, coating, cleaning and mixing.

They are equally suited to both high and low pressure applications and will handle the widest range of liquids, including chemicals, solvents, acids, hydrocarbons, natural gas liquids, alkalis, polymers, aqueous ammonia, resins, slurries, wettable powders, recycled or dirty liquids and can even handle abrasive liquids without suffering damage.

Being precision, positive displacement pumps, Hydra-Cell pumps are designed to feed a precise, predetermined volume of liquid into a system or process… giving them the right to be called true metering and dosing pumps.

wanner 2 Hydra-Cell - Reducing the cost of precision pumpingThese seal-less pumps have multiple, hydraulically balanced diaphragms in a single pump head, providing a virtually pulseless flow for a wide range of applications while removing the need for expensive pulsation dampeners in most instances.

Having no dynamic seals, cups or packings, Hydra-Cell pumps are 100% leak-free and safe. They require none of the costly seal maintenance experienced with the majority of rotary pumps.

They are run-dry protected and handle aggressive, corrosive and abrasive liquids with ease. Hydra-Cell pumps are equally capable of pumping non-lubricating liquids such as searching solvents, propane and butane, as they are handling viscous liquids, flowing gels and slurries.

wanner 3 Hydra-Cell - Reducing the cost of precision pumpingPumping shear sensitive materials can be problematical for many pumps. Shear helps non-Newtonian fluids flow but too much shear can cause temporary or even irrevocable damage. Hydra-Cell diaphragm pumps impose only low levels of tangential stress on the pumped fluid making them ideal for pumping a wide range of shear sensitive materials such as polymers, paints, coatings, dyes, inks, latex solutions and technical suspensions.

Compact in design, robust in construction and exhibiting high energy efficiency, Hydra-Cell pumps enjoy a long service life with exceptionally low lifecycle costs.

Metering and Dosing

Hydra-Cell P Series, API 675 metering solutions are claimed to be suited to a wide range of chemical dosing applications thanks to their virtually pulseless flow characteristics and their exceptional accuracy.

wanner 4 Hydra-Cell - Reducing the cost of precision pumpingIn terms of steady state accuracy, linearity and repeatability, these pumps exceed the requirements of API 675, the universal standard for metering pumps. The Hydra-Cell P-Series pump range can accommodate all flow rate requirements from as little as 1 litre per hour right through to 2800 litres per hour at pressures up to 172 bar. They feature gearbox reducers with ratios from 5:1 to 60:1, for ultimate precision across a wide range of flows and pressures.

For those requiring higher flows and pressures and not needing the enhanced accuracy achieved through a reduction gearbox with a fixed turn down ratio, the Company offers Hydra-Cell G Series dosing performance pumps, which meet API performance requirements.

Precise Control

The Hydra-Cell Metering and Dosing solutions range includes variants with integrated variable speed drives. The innovative design combines an AC induction motor with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD inverter) mounted on the motor.

Because Hydra-Cell pumps are true positive displacement pumps, flow rate is directly proportionate to input shaft speed and virtually independent of system discharge pressures.

Flow rate can therefore be varied proportionately by motor speed control offering turndown ratios of 10 to 1 or better. A variety of control methods is available from a local analogue control knob, graded from 0 to 100% to the Wanner “Control Freak”, which enables programming for flow rate or totalisation via multiple Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

Other flow rate adjustment options are available, including manual speed variators (suitable for ATEX environments), and electronic VFDs with on-board keypad controllers with flow rate display and removable, hand-held keypad controllers for authorised personnel only.
