New research from npower has found that 44% of UK medium-sized businesses (MSBs) do not believe that current energy products meet their needs, yet energy is ranked as the second highest risk they face.

Over 90% of those surveyed want tools to help them take control of energy buying. In response, npower is launching two propositions to help companies with energy procurement.

The first, Direct Budget Management, means npower will track the market on the customer’s behalf and buy their energy in line with an agreed strategy. The other proposition, PriceWatch, allows customers who purchase energy at a fixed price to renew their supply contract at the best price point.
