A new Cylindrical Plough Blender from Munson Machinery provides rapid fluidised blending of fibrous, interlocking, dense or moist/oily bulk materials in batches up to 2 m3 with higher intensity and greater speed than possible with standard ribbon and paddle blenders.
Model HB-48-SSCYL consists of a cylindrical mixing vessel with a solid agitator shaft and wedge-shaped plough blades that rotate roughly four-times faster than agitators of trough-style ribbon, paddle or plough blenders. Airborne material fills the entire vessel, providing rapid and uniform distribution of materials throughout the batch in the ppm range regardless of particle sizes, shapes or bulk densities.
When equipped with optional injection ports, the unit can also distribute liquid additions throughout the batch more rapidly than standard trough-style machines.
Constructed of #304 stainless steel with a 110 kW gear motor drive, the unit is configured with nine charging ports, three side access doors, two discharge ports, and automated controls.
Available options include sanitary design and construction, high-speed choppers, and ASME certified jackets.
