- Schneider Electric Solutions on show designed to reduce manufacturing delays and inefficiencies which can add over 9% to the final manufactured product cost in the UK
- On stand C98, 22-23 September 2026, at Birmingham NEC
Schneider Electric will be showcasing the latest advances in packaging automation, digitalisation and sustainable production, with live demonstrations, expert insights and innovative technologies on stand at PPMA 2026.
The solutions on show are designed to bring efficiencies to manufacturing, reducing delays and inefficiencies which, according to research from Schneider Electric, amount to an estimated 9.4% of the final manufacturing product cost in the UK.
A key stand attraction will be demonstrations of Schneider Electric’s Lexium MC12 Multicarrier system, showcasing how advanced linear transport technology can help manufacturers achieve greater flexibility, efficiency and performance in packaging applications. This will also be presented at 11:30am on Wednesday 23 September in the Live Demonstration Theatre at the event.
The Lexium MC12 independently transports, groups and positions products throughout the machine process, enabling faster changeovers, simpler machine architecture and greater flexibility across multiple product formats. It supports functions such as grouping, stacking and pick-and-place operations, helping manufacturers improve productivity, reduce downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), while enabling OEMs to accelerate machine design, commissioning and time to market.
Visitors can also see live demonstrations of EcoStruxure Machine Expert Twin, Schneider Electric’s digital twin software suite. By enabling virtual design, virtual commissioning and parallel development of mechanical, electrical and control systems, the solution helps machine builders accelerate innovation while reducing project risk. Virtual prototyping and simulation can cut development cycles by up to 50%, while real-time physics simulation and business logic testing can reduce commissioning time by up to 60%.
Also on display is Schneider Electric’s Lexium Cobot Palletizer showcasing flexible, space-efficient automation for repetitive packaging tasks and highlighting opportunities to improve consistency and operator efficiency.
Alex Richards, Schneider Electric’s Vice President, Industrial Process & Automation, UK & Ireland, will be speaking in the Seminar Theatre from 1:30pm–2:00pm on Tuesday 22 September. His session, ‘From Efficiency to Net Zero: How Smart Robotics and Automation Are Redefining Sustainable Manufacturing’, will examine how manufacturers can embed efficiency, electrification and intelligence into automation systems from the outset.
He will explore how industrial organisations can reduce energy consumption and waste, as well as how software-defined automation, real-time data, AI and digital twins can help tackle skills shortages, optimise performance and deliver measurable sustainability gains across packaging and processing environments.
