To help ensure our customers receive conveyor and belting products that comply with the current best practice and guidelines we have elevated our individual membership of EHEDG (The European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group) to full company membership status. We constantly monitor and evaluate our product against the current and incoming regulations. We have worked with test sites and universities in the UK and USA to measure the hygienic credentials of the product so that we can provide the best advice to our customers.
All our conveyors are of hygienic stainless steel construction, have a wide range of optional features, and special variants that ensure the versatility to satisfy most application requirements such as changing product direction, orientation, and spacing between production processes. The Flex-Turn® unit allows products to be turned using angles from 45 to 180 degrees, and the Spreading conveyor which can separate products into lanes.
Wire Belt’s Flex-Turn® 300 series of conveyors, which are manufactured by our ConveyorTec™ division, are made of stainless steel and have an open structure, ‘the open construction of our conveyors maximises product exposure and allows for easy removal of debris on washing and draining operations. The Flex-Turn series offers unparalleled visual access of the conveyor structure for inspection and cleaning.’
In the past few years there have been a number of technical advancements in conveyor technologies. ‘Here at Wire Belt, we focus on the clean-ability and key elements of processing such as product orientation, product placement and improved production throughput. The conveyors we design and manufacture are focused on adding value to a product as it flows through a process rather than just moving a product from ‘A’ to ‘B’. While that trend is becoming more prevalent in the food processing business today, Wire Belt has been focused on the value proposition of its conveyors for decades.’
