Axair announce the release of their new ATEX S50 polypropylene fans, complementing their existing range of corrosion resistant fume extraction fans. The S50 is the largest and most powerful fan in their ‘S’ range, manufactured by SEAT, with the new version available in ATEX Zone 2, in response to increased demand.
The ATEX S50 fans have been designed to remove fumes from highly corrosive or toxic environments where there is a risk of fire or explosion. They can be supplied with EEx nA (nonincendive) motors to order. The ATEX S50 fans provide high air flow against medium system pressures, achieving airflows of 5000 to 16000 m3/h.
The ATEX S50 is supplied with an inverter as standard, benefitting from an easy stop/start function and enhanced speed control which allows for efficient energy consumption. The molded carbon loaded polypropylene prevents static discharges and is a corrosion resistant material which can withstand harsh chemical environments and adverse weather conditions. It holds many benefits over GRP and stainless steel materials.

ATEX has to be understood as an ever evolving subject requiring competence and training that is now provided by UK notified bodies and consultancies.
