How they approach the design stage
Working in close collaboration with marketing to define targets that would meet the needs of the end user, their design team then define a product concept associated with internal component details; they do so using CAD and simulation. They then validate the concept using prototypes. This loop is repeated until a consensus can be reached regarding the requirements and results.
Once prototypes are completed they seek validation of the tool by using impressive testing facilities in their labs, an experienced validation team checks every new tool. Depending on the complexity of the new design they can test the tool at each stage of the development: prototype parts, tool parts or initial samples. This not only ensures compliance to regulatory, normative and safety standards but also to their own high internal standard, to achieve the level of quality that has built a strong reputation for the extensive tools range.

A case in point is the CP67 Series range of Atex Certified Impact Wrenches offering ultimate power, high quality and excellent ergonomics to professionals working in ATEX explosive hazardous environments. For example, the CP6748EX, ATEX certified (94/9/EC and 99/92/EC) and IP6 rated, industrial duty ½” impact wrench. The wrench’s design, with ATEX classification I M2 / II 2GD c IIB 85°C X, provides a higher level of protection against accidental ignition of flammable gasses and dust in both above and below ground environments. This CP67 Series maximizes durability with its steel clutch housing, and motor components manufactured from the highest quality plain steel. In addition, return on investment is increased by incorporating reversible end plates and using an oil bath twin hammer clutch mechanism which provides constant lubrication and helps reduce tool vibration.
Incorporating convenient features such as an easy-to-use single-handed, glove-friendly, forward/reverse switch and power regulator, friction ring retainer for rapid socket change, balanced grip and progressive teasing trigger.
