Hazards 27 takes place in Birmingham, UK on 10–12 May 2017 and will provide essential technical insight into how to improve process safety performance and reduce the risk of hazardous events.

The conference programme (to be published in early February) will be designed around the functional areas that are key to managing process safety risk effectively, with 68 technical presentations from leading industry professionals, researchers and regulators. In addition, invited keynote speakers from Shell, Unilever, BASF and Marsh Energy will provide their strategic view on the process safety challenge.

Completing the speaker line-up, former Grand Prix senior manager and Formula One analyst, Mark Gallagher will deliver a lecture created to honour the memory of process safety pioneer, Trevor Kletz. Gallagher will draw parallels between risk management in the very different worlds of motorsport and the process industries, offering insight into how risk management has evolved in Formula One to create a ‘safety-first’ business culture, and how the lessons learned can be transferred to the high hazard industries.

There will be a trade exhibition alongside the conference, presenting products and services to help improve process safety performance.

Ideal for anyone who is active in process safety and risk management for potentially hazardous facilities, Hazards 27 is the perfect opportunity to review best practice, latest developments and research in process safety, and to network and share experiences with international process safety practitioners.

Hazards 27 will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham, UK from 10–12 May. Registration is open now, with early-bird discounts available until the end of February.
