As part of a phased upgrade of the Askew & Barrett (Pulses) factory in Wisbech, Chronos BTH has supplied a new combined open-mouth bagging and FIBC filling system. The system is being used to pack a variety of pulses into 20-25kg bags or FIBCs. Currently the system operates on a manual basis but it has been designed to allow simple upgrade to automatic operation in the future.

A diverting weigh hopper which is based on a pioneering design originally introduced to the market by sister company Richard Simon allows weighments to be tipped on one side into the FIBC filling system and on the other side into the open-mouth bagging system.
